Jumble Sale Update – Kitchen Refurb

“A Scout group, like an army, marches on its stomach!”

The words from this week’s Advertiser, who came to report on the Jumble Sale on Saturday. The figures are yet to come in, but we expect around £300 were raised at the event last week, with around £200 in notes alone. The money will go towards a total of £2,000 to refurbish the kitchen in the Scout Hut.

Well done and thanks to all who came and helped – Gareth said over £200 in notes and loads of cash too so looking forward to hearing the final number and seeing the pics in the paper – Richard Norman on facebook

Cake and Tombola

Come one, come all! The Christmas season is upon us once again, and to kick-start the Tenbury Scouts celebrations, we are holding a cake stall outside the Regal Cinema from 10-12 on the 18th of December.

Jumble Sales

Over the past few months we have been holding regular Jumble Sales (on the first Saturday of every month). They are, at the moment, raising money for Jonathan & Jono to go to the World Scout Jamboree. So far we have raised £3000 out of the £3600 that we need to raise! So good going lads and lasses! For more information on the WSJ2011, feel free to talk to Jono, Jonathan and Richard. We are also selling Hereford and Worcester WSJ merchandise, which is available upon request from Richard. A short promo for Tenbury Scouts. At Tenbury Scouts we do loads of stuff, from cooking, to camping, to hiking, to playing games! The Explorer Unit (14-18) do more exiting and challenging stuff than the Scouts, and the Scouts do more exiting and challenging stuff than the Cubs and so on.
